This studio is divided into two phases and starts with an initial study of one morphological design-research topic. The first phase is to investigate and research the topic in detail. Within the second phase, the task is to develop a method of application of the topic onto an artificial island. These two phases start on a micro scale and finish with a macro scale.

The studio is coordinated to first analyze the geometry, structure, and systematics of growth, then produce a morphology of adapted systems on a fabrication scale and finally investigate the application of the research on a larger scale.
